WHY SPENDING TIME WITH THE NATURE WILL HELP YOU LOSE WEIGHT AND FEEL BETTER?

Within the last few decades our life has changed dramatically. We live super-fast and stressful life! Long hours at work, business trips, indoor gym, home, kids, shopping… every single minute is filled with something to do. We don’t take much time to recover from that continues rush. Worse we often use alcohol to destress. As much as I love booze, we must remember that even though it feels like we relax when we drink, it is causing stress in our body! You will still need to find a better way to relax and recover!

Human beings are born to move! We need to spend time outside, surrounded by nature. It is one of our prime instincts. Being outside helps us breathe deeper which is calming and destressing. It makes you feel better on the cellular level!

When I was dealing with too much stress and I was struggling to sleep, short walks in the park were like miracles! The results were almost immediate!

But how does it help you lose weight? As you’ve probably heard before, stress increases the level of cortisol, on of the hormones in our body. When one hormone is elevated all other hormones go out of balance. We struggle to control our cravings, we put on weight loss seems impossible, especially when it comes to that muffin top. Moreover, you can either have high amount of cortisol (I’ll call it a “fat hormone”) or testosterone (“muscle building hormone”). So, if your cortisol level is elevated, even when you train, you will struggle to get expected results.

Adding outdoor activities to your weekly routine will help you with all above! It is the fastest and the most natural way for our body to regain balance and feel good! Plus, it is a great excuse to get more active and spend a quality time with family and friends! Just move and breathe!
